Heidi is a physical therapist with over 30 years experience. Living her committment to 'life long learning' she completed the 4 year Feldenkrais(R) training in 2001 and then completed the Bones for Life(R) in 2005. Her personal vision of harmony, integrity and authenticity has found expression in teaching the work of Feldenkrais and Alon.
In October 2014, Heidi introduced the new Alon WALK FOR LIFE program which promises a finer tuning of walking with an increase in the joy of movement.
An other new program from the Movement Intelligence Foundation (Ruthy Alon) called SOLUTIONS will be launched in October 2016. This program is a self help assist in finding solutions to mobility restrictions.
WHO IS MOSHE FELDENKRAIS? Moshe Feldenkrais, D.Sc (1904-1984), a physicist and educator developed the Feldenkrais Method(R) following a disabling knee injury. He taught himself to walk without pain through improving his 'kinesthetic sense'-- his ability to sense, feel and coordinate easy, effective movement. This personal breakthrough led to Dr. Feldenkrais innovative contribution in showing how the body, through movement, influences mental process. Among his students were Margaret Mead, David Ben-Gurion, Yehudi Menuhin, Helen Hayes, and Julius Irving. His widely read books include "Body and Mature Behavior", "Awareness Through Movement", and "The Potent Self". His principles are creatively applied in academic and physical education, the performing arts, athletics, the healing arts, and many other settings.

ABOUT RUTHY ALON:
Internationally recognized as a Senior Trainer in the Feldenkrais Method(R), one of Dr. Feldenkrais' original group of students in the 60's. Alon, president of the Foundation of Movement Intelligence authored the popular book "Mindful Spontaneity". Her video "Movement Nature Meant", addresses our innate capacity for healing through organic movement. In 1996, Ruthy Alon began developing Bones for Life(R) to address the growing incidence of osteoporosis. More recently Ruthy has developed new programs: Walk for Life and Mindful Eating and SOLUTIONS. To spread her work, a world wide network of Certified Trainers and Teachers presents BFL classes to the public, and offers educational certificate programs in North and South America, Europe, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and Japan.

Heidi established her practice in Myrtle Beach in 2000, to offer to an interested community, an experience in sensory motor learning, whereby one can explore in a safe and kind enviornment the many options available of being with onesself in a whole new way. She has taught classes overseas, in Arizona, Myrtle Beach, Surfside, Florence, North Myrtle Beach and Southport, NC. The venues include assisted living centers, recreation centers, clinics, hotels, wellness centers, and private homes. Currently Heidi offers private sessions only in her home office.
